MEET THE TEAM

The ladies behind Stanford EYH:

I am a sophomore physics and potential math major at Stanford, with a wide range of other interests including art, writing, and philosophy. Originally from Stoughton, Wisconsin, I am passionate about all things science education and want to reach out to girls in order to share my passion for STEM.

Amara McCune

I’m a freshman at Stanford from Leesburg, Virginia, and my intended major is bioengineering.  I enjoy playing tennis, care about the environment, and I am passionate about getting young girls involved in STEM.

Stephanie Niu

Hi! I’m a freshman at Stanford from Marietta, Georgia intending to major in computer science or symbolic systems. My passion for advocating for females in STEM started from my involvement in FIRST robotics, and I think inspiring girls at a young age is the key to closing the gender gap in STEM fields and careers. I also love to write poetry and am a firm believer that technology and humanities make a powerful duo.

Hi! I'm a junior at Stanford from Boston, MA, majoring in Human Biology and concentrating in Human Systems and Disease. I love to sing, play volleyball, and read in my free time. In high school, I worked to get younger students involved in the science fair, and I think it's awesome to become passionate about STEM from an early age!

Aheli Chattopadhyay

I am a sophomore here at Stanford and majoring in bioengineering with a potential minor in math. Originally from Orlando, Florida, I’ve always been lucky enough to have STEM play a major role in my middle and high school life through science fairs, and I would love to help other girls recognize their potential in the wide field. My interests outside of STEM include fine arts and Indian classical dance.
